Summer School 2017: Interdisciplinary challenges in a globalized world
The Summer School on Interdisciplinarity of the Leibniz Research Alliance Infections 21 will take place from 30th of August until 1st of September 2017 in the manor house of the Forschungszentrum Borstel. There will be 6 workshops for 3rd year doctoral researchers and postdocs on Best Practice examples of interdisciplinary research including "language barriers" and "cultural differences" existing between different disciplines and how they can be overcome. Subjects are "Climate Engineering", "Infection Control", "Hand-on Vector Identification" and "Survey Design", as well as "Gender and Science" and "Citizen Science". Participation and fare are free of charge. Expenses for travelling and accommodation are expected to be covered by the participants or their host institutes.
