Best Poster and Best Talk Awards at the Joint Meeting in Lutherstadt Wittenberg

During the Joint Meeting of ILRS Jena and RTG 1870 from Greifswald, the members of the Scientific Advisory Board from both graduate schools carefully evaluated the presentations given by the doctoral researchers. They complimented all participants on the high quality of the posters and talks, and after a tough decision they decided to award the following presentations:

Best Posters

  • Susanne Ackermann (ILRS): The human Apolipoprotein E inhibits the classical pathway of complement
  • Anna Nagel (RTG): Insights into the role of the transcription termination factor Rho of Staphylococcus aureus
  • Prasad Aiyar (ILRS): Influence of biotic and abiotic factors on intracellular calcium

Best Talks

  • Maria Nordengrün (RTG): Allergic reactions to Staphylococcus aureus in airway diseases
  • Franziska Gerwien (ILRS): Post-transcriptional regulation impacts on iron metabolism regulation in Candida glabrata
  • Franziska Voss (RTG): Immunogenicity of lipoproteins and other classical pneumococcal surface proteins
