The systems biologist Gianni Panagiotou has started his work at the Leibniz Institute for Natural Product Research and Infection Biology - Hans Knöll Institute on January 2, 2017. He will succeed Reinhard Guthke as head of the research group Systems Biology and Bioinformatics. Previously, Gianni Panagiotou lead the Research Group "Systems Biology & Bioinformatics (SBB)" at the University of Hong Kong. Together with his team he is analysing large data sets derived from omics technologies and develops hypotheses for co- and interregulation of molecules in close collaboration with experimentalists. We wish Gianni Panagiotou a successful beginning at the HKI!
