The document preparation system LaTeX

LaTeX is a free and open-source program for writing scientific reports. It allows an author to focus on the content, while LaTeX takes care of the layout.

This workshop shows how a document is created in LaTeX. This includes creation of a text document, an automatic generation of e.g. a table of contents, list of figures , tables and plots as well as the possibilites of integrating citations. This should help participants of different fields to receive an impression of LaTeXs capabilities for a quick start.
