The 10th ILRS Symposium took place on May 4-5, 2017 at the HKI-Center for Systems Biology of Infection. ILRS doctoral researchers presented talks and posters on a variety of topics, ranging from metal sensing in fungi to bioninformatic modelling of infection processes. Keynote lectures were given by Petra Dersch (HZI Braunschweig), Sven Hammerschmidt (University of Greifwald) and Gianni Panagiotou (HKI Jena).

The members of the ILRS Scientific Advisory Board closely followed all the presentations and had the difficult task to choose the best talks and best posters. They emphasized that all presentations were of exceptionally high quality and it was hard to make a decision.
